M Å N P A L A T S E T
In its simplest form, Månpalatset is nothing but a physical location. A barn tucked away in Gotland’s pristine woods.
A gargantuan “thing.” A perfect venue.
An evergreen field for an outdoor wedding ceremony surrounded by nature.
A Valhalla sized hall that can be home to either feasts, dances, or shows.
Multiple stages equipped with state of the art sound systems.
Two professional bars and kitchens designed for inhouse catering.
Dozens of sleeping nooks and rooms.
So reads the surface.
Yet that is not what Månpalatset is at its core.
Månpalatset is a dream twenty years in the making.
Månpalatset is a passion born from an unadulturated love of the arts.
Månpalatset is an unrelenting drive to create something truly unique.
Something everlasting.
Eight years ago Månpalatset was nothing but the bones of a mammoth forgotten and buried in the woods.
It had been on the market for years. Overlooked as a plot of land weighed down by a massive hassle of old wood and cement
Johan Israelson saw a canvass.
He is an architect.
He is a designer.
He is a musician.
He is a creator.
Johan saw a refuge.
A sanctuary from a world growing ever colder.
A place where artists may gather, share, and experience in peace.
A place for dreamers.
A place where creation is allowed to breathe.
A place where anyone seeking to restore their hope, inspiration, or joy, may flee to.
A vision now on the brink of being realized.
Månpalatset in its physical form is a year away from being realized. But in December of 2023 its spirit officially launched Månpalatset’s first artist.
Mina Eriksson
A single mother who has struggled her whole life to care for and protect her family, a cause that forever kept from pursuing her passion.
Until she found a car turned upside down and smashed to smithereens by an icy road.
It was then she met Johan, bleeding and barely coherent.
Once upon a time, she was a nurse, and so she was able to keep him alive for the thirty minutes it took for the ambulance to arrive.
She saved his life, and he saved hers.
He gave her the chance to finally pursue her passion of art and design
To paint and freely create at Månpalatset.
Together, they now spearhead this dream that is Månpalatset.
